The Swan is extremely quiet, despite being a compressor model that is traditional. We measured it at a fairly modest 42dB while running. It's considerably quieter than models that were made 10 years ago and far quieter than many of the refrigerator freezers we've tested in our Best Buy chart.
This type of fridge also had a good temperature stability. The average temperature of the top shelf, middle and lower shelves was just a few degrees below the maximum. The temperature in the salad drawer fluctuated between 5oC to just under freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge needs an occasional manual defrost, but it is graded A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it one of the most efficient fridge freezers on our Best Buy chart, keeping your electric bills to a minimum.
